Items for Sale

Wanted Items

USA-owned Champ for sale, for parts or extensive restoration. Available late Spring or early Summer 2018. Early production, 1952  WN1-914.  Basically this Champ has been stripped of many/most fitments and usable spares for my own inventory, but there is plenty left:

Rolling Chassis with five wheels (whilst the four tyres which are mounted will hold air, they will need replacement, as rubber is trash).  Complete front and rear axles, but no gearbox.  Most body panels are usable as replacements. Tub is mostly solid and could be used.  Stripped engine block, with seized pistons, is mounted in the engine compartment. No head or ancillaries left.  Four front row type seats (the rear bench was replaced long ago with two front seats)

Iíll add some more descriptive material and post some photos when the weather gets better, but I wanted to get the advert out there.

Please email or call with questions.  Located in New Hampshire; buyer will need to arrange transport.

$450 US or make an offer.

G'day fellow Champers, I'm trying to make up a Complete Equipment Schedule of parts for my Champ and have had some luck in sourcing parts.  This particular request is for information or photos relating to the snow chains originally fitted to our Champs.  The snow chains are listed as Parsons DL 39a and I need them to suit 7.50 x 16.  Any help would be gratefully accepted. Cheers, Alan Snashall

For Sale: Brand new fuel tank still in primer paint.  Been in dry storage for many years. Also includes tank unit for fuel gauge.

Email me if you want pictures or have any questions.

£600, sold as seen and buyer collects from Northwich, Cheshire CW8 2FG in UK

The current owner (an ACOC club member) has had this Champ since 2008. Previously owned by another club member 2004-2008, it has been an active vehicle during all that period at many shows, and also since 2008 it has earned itís keep on the 10 acre small holding of the owner. With a Sankey trailer it has been regularly used for bringing in hay bales and for carting logs and delivering these to customers in surrounding villages.

The B40 engine is sound and runs well. The twin speed generator is still in place. The fuel pipe has been re-routed away from the hot side of the engine in order to cure the fuel vaporisation problem that has hit many Champs with the more volatile Ethanol content of modern petrol.

The snorkel looks to be an original one.  The body is generally sound with no major problems and the floor pan is good. There are one or two small dents in places that will not be too difficult to hammer out.  These can be part of a rolling tidying up along with a repaint that is due but not essential.

A new silencer has recently been fitted and sounds good and the tyres are all decent. A seal on one of the front brake cylinders is leaking slightly and this will need attention. The vehicle is currently on SORN but with the above attended to it is road ready.  If you wish to drive the vehicle away then the new seal can be attended to locally before you collect.

There is a good Eberflex hood and a good set of doors and frames. New side screens came with the vehicle in 2008 and they are still in their wrapping, having never been used. The vehicle attended the 2012 Champ 60th Anniversary show which is one of itís longest outings

and so most of itís mileage has been very local since 2008, accruing under 3000 miles in totalduring that time but regular use means It has not been sat aroundÖ seizing up

There is a small box of spares that comes with the vehicleÖ.,  a couple of carbs, spark plugs, points, condenser, a couple of distributors, coil and odd bits, original grease gun and a rear wing.

There is also a NATO socket awaiting fitting and a 7 pin trailer adapter is already fitted. This Champ can easily be on the show circuit for the coming season. She is badged with the trident of the 44th Home Counties Division and her date into service was 21st Sept 1955,  being struck off on August 18th 1966.  The vehicle has all the current paperwork and V5.The trailer which has been well used on the smallholding does need some restoration but is generally solid with good tyres and again has been in regular use. This with its tilt cover will be part of the all in deal for the Champ and items listed above.

Priced to sell at £8000.00

The reason for the sale is that the owner has sold his smallholding and now has a smaller town property and will be spending much of his time abroad in the coming years.

The pictures were taken on 28th April 2017 and there are more available. Please contact Phil Plumb who is handling the sale for the owner in his absence.

I have my Champ for reluctant sale.  I have owned it since early 2003 and it has been reliable and good fun.  Unfortunately, a few years ago, the engine block cracked during a strong freeze.  The cracked engine has been removed and a used replacement engine bought from Champ Spares UK but has not been fitted.

I am selling the vehicle as-is and complete with both engines.  The photos show the vehicle when on the road and with the engine removed.

Price £4000 or near offer.  The vehicle is located in Tetbury, Gloucestershire.

I would like to sell my Champ. It is not getting the use that it should and I would rather someone else had the pleasure of it. I am asking in the region of £5500 for it. It has 46,000 miles on the clock. It has had its Crown Wheel and Pinion examined by Dave Diff Lock, who says it is in good order.  New seats and covers. Repainted.  Over £1000 spent on engine parts etc. Electric waterproof fuel pump.  I have used it very little in the last two years, however it starts and drives well.

Plenty more photos available if required.  Geoff Turner.
