1st BN THE CAMERONIANS WERE WITH 11 INF BDE GRP OF 2 DIV IN BAOR FROM 1961 UNTIL 4/64.

UNTIL 1963, MARKINGS WERE 7 ON RED WITH 11 INF BDE SIGN. 1963-NO MARKINGS AND 1964 11/7 IN WHITE ON BLACK BACKGROUND.
THE HQ SQN SIGN ON BONNET MUST INDICATE IT WAS IN SUPPORT OF HQ SQN 1 ROYAL TANK REGIMENT [6/62 TO 2/64]
1 RTR WAS THE ARM REGT ATTACHED TO 11 INF BDE GRP.

Taken in 1963 on East German Border near Helmstedt when I served with Cameronians. Incidentally, an accompanying VW beetle had no trouble negotiating the snow drift.
